Travel plans across the Gulf have been shifting quickly over the past week, and Bahrain’s national carrier Gulf Air has rolled out a flexible option for passengers whose trips may be affected.
The airline announced that travelers holding tickets with original travel dates until 21 March 2026 can either request a full refund or rebook their flights free of charge. The new travel window allows passengers to move their journeys to any Gulf Air-operated flight up to 15 May 2026.
The move comes as aviation across the Middle East continues to adjust to regional tensions and temporary airspace disruptions, which have forced airlines to modify schedules and offer flexible booking options to thousands of travelers.
How passengers can make changes
Passengers who booked directly with Gulf Air can manage their booking in two simple ways:
- Rebooking: Call the airline’s global contact centre at +973 1737 3737.
- Refund requests: Submit a request through the Gulf Air mobile app using the Manage My Booking section.
Travelers who booked through a travel agent should contact their agent directly to arrange either a rebooking or refund.
Keep your booking details updated
Gulf Air is also advising passengers to check that their contact details are updated in their reservations. This ensures that travelers receive real-time notifications about schedule changes, flight updates, or travel options.
For many passengers across the region, flexibility is becoming essential. Airlines throughout the Gulf have been introducing similar rebooking and refund options as the aviation industry adapts to changing airspace conditions and evolving travel plans.
